Becoming a member means more than joining a church, it means becoming part of a Christ-centered family that is committed to worship, growth, service, and love. All new members are invited to attend our New Members Connections classes, held every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM. This 4-week class, which you can join at any time, is designed to help you learn more about our church’s mission, values, ministries, and how you can get connected and start serving.

Baptism

At Freewill Missionary Baptist Church, we believe baptism is a sacred and powerful step of obedience for every believer. It is an outward expression of an inward transformation; a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We practice immersion baptism, following the biblical example of Jesus, which symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:4).

Whether you are a new believer or have rededicated your life to Christ, baptism is a beautiful way to affirm your commitment to walk in newness of life. We offer a number of ways to help you understand the meaning, significance, and next steps in your spiritual journey.

Baby Dedication

At Freewill Missionary Baptist Church, we believe children are a precious gift from God and that parents have a sacred responsibility to raise them in the knowledge and love of Christ. Baby Dedication is a special moment in worship where parents publicly commit to guiding their child spiritually, while the church family pledges to support, encourage, and pray for them along the journey (1 Samuel 1:27–28).

It’s important to note that baby dedication is not baptism. Rather, it is a declaration of intent to raise a child in a Christ-centered home until they are old enough to make a personal decision to follow Jesus and be baptized by their own confession of faith.
